Auction description:
JS Fine Art Auctioneers & Valuers
Fine Art and Antiques | Arms, Armour & Medals Vintage Cars & Motorcycles
Lot 801 - JAGUAR MKI 2.4 SALOON (1958)
RNV 77 VIN 910602DN ENGINE NO BC57318. RNV 77 is a 2.4 litre engined example with desirable Manual overdrive transmission. Dispatched to the original dealer, Henlys of London on the 17th April 1958. The property of a deceased estate , This MKI was declared registered in the UK in 1996. One must suppose that the car, whilst supplied to a UK dealership, was perhaps abroad for much of its life?, The registration documents show 4 keepers since 1996, the most recent purchasing the car from Charterhouse Auctions in July 2013. Described as a good example and in original and unmolested condition, believed to have been barn stored for several years prior to the present ownership the car is currently in good running order and retains road tax until 30 sept 2014 although there is no MOT certificate on file. We would recommend a full safety inspection before taking to the road. The body and paintwork appear to be in original condition, the interior is also very well preserved with softly patinated red leather, a clean head lining and walnut veneers. Subject to the usual inspections and a fresh MOT this nice example could be used every day as is or considered as a rolling light restoration. Offered with V5C, past MOT certificates, various bills of expenditure and Jaguar heritage dating certificate.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
