Opening bid $2,750 reserve not met, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction. 78k miles.

Sellers description:
1953 Jaguar 4 door sedan in good shape. It is part of an estate being settled in Salt Lake City , Ut. I’ve seen the car and it looks to be in really good shape. The interior is green and the exterior is a Pewter color. Everything looks to be original. The owner had a log in the car. The last time it was registered was 1978 but the log shows it being started on a regular basis thru 2000. Thee car was kept in a climate controlled garage. The tires are dry rotted and need replaced. There are a few parts off the car that are in the trunk. The only piece I see missing is one of the turn indicators located on the left front fender. The keys are missing and it has not been started since the estate was settled.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
