Lot No: 204
1965 Jaguar Mk2 3.8-Litre Saloon
Registration no. NXC 952D
Chassis no. P234895DN
Engine no. LE3365-8
Estimate: £13,000 - 15,000
Totally restored to concours condition by DR Engineering over a nine-year period during the 1990s, this Jaguar Mk2 was sold at Bonhams & Brooks’ Olympia Sale in December 2000 (Lot 1917). ‘NXC 952D’ had been in a private collection for approximately a year by that time, being maintained regardless of cost and used only very occasionally. Finished in pale blue metallic with grey leather interior, the latter boasting attractive, striped, wood grain embellishment, the car is offered with current MoT/road fund licence and Swansea V5 registration document. Alternator electrics and a JD Classics power steering conversion are the only listed deviations from factory specification. Representing the pinnacle of Jaguar’s sports saloons of the 1960s, this matching-numbers, 3.8-litre Mk2 is equipped with the desirable manual/overdrive transmission and presented in generally excellent condition.
