Car to be at auction 4/17
www.classicauctions.co.uk/lotdetail.php

Auction description:
Lot : 13
1963 JAGUAR MK2 3.8 LITRE
Estimate:
£12000 - 14000
Mileage: T.B.A.
Colour: B.R.G.
Trim Colour: BEIGE
Chassis No: P221068BW
Engine No: LC1341/9
Registration No: NWR811A
CC: 3781
M.O.T: MAR 2008

Finished in British Racing Green with beige leather upholstery, this particular example is variously described by the vendor as being in "good" (electrical equipment, paintwork), "very good" (four-speed all-synchromesh manual plus overdrive gearbox, chassis) "superb" (engine, bodywork, wheels / tyres) or "as new" (interior trim) condition. Reportedly treated to "new panels, trim, chrome, leather and wood" as part of an extensive restoration that was commissioned by a HBOS Director approximately five years ago, the work is further understood to have seen 'NWR 811A' converted from left-hand drive automatic to right-hand drive manual specification and given an engine overhaul (including "flowed cylinder head"). Able to boast power steering, later type front seats (complete with headrests) and a period radio, the saloon rides on painted wire wheels. Sympathetically enhanced, this smart and well specified MK2 is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until March 2008.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
