Sellers description:
Vehicle purchased March 19, 1962 in UK and shipped via New York and delivered April 2, 1962. This was original black plate 3.8 litre Mark II sedan we purchased 2000 in California. The engine had been converted to Chevy engine prior to our purchase and the car was also repainted.

After our purchase:
All paint removed, no rust found and the minor dings repaired. The entire car was primed and painted with over 245 hours labor, repainted 2002 Jag. Midnight Blue color. All bumpers and grille are original and rechromed at time of painting. We also had the interior redone leather (mushroom color) new head liner, and carpet, wood trim refinished also.

The engine was replaced in 2003 with a Chevy 350, came with a New Harmonic Balancer, Oil Pan, Performer Manifold and Dress Up Kit. A new Water Pump and Thermostat also installed . The Motor Mount Brackets had to be manufactured of good quality also the Mount Supports for the front of the engine and new mounts installed. Old radiator replaced with Alum. Radiator with new mounts and Radiator Overflow Resevoir. All hoses and Belts renewed and a new Temp. Switch for gauge installed and also new switch for the electrical fan. Replaced Trans. oil and filter, transmission pan raised to better location , installed new fly wheel, renewed front and rear seal, replaced rear pinon seal and back plate seal. U-Joints replaced and drive line balanced. Ignition tune up - 8 cylinder, installed new points and plugs, wires and coil replaced. Carburetor replaced with Eldelbrock 600 with elec. chock, adaptions and adjustments were made. R & R Starter includes solenoid installed. Electrical checked, replaced headlight dimmer switch and stop light switch. Renew intake manifold gasket, fabricate fan shroud, renew heater core and heater valve. Fuel system checked - tank clean with no restreictions, renewed fuel pump and installed inline fuel filter. Installed washer resevoir and pump for the wipers and new wiper motor. New battery, Master Cylinder replaced, front and rear brake rotors replaced, rear brakes just totally redone. New tires with 9,000 miles on them and complete tune up done 10/24/07. Paint resprayed 5/24/07. All information taken from invoices. I have the radio with 8 track player and chrome trim for rear license plate in garage.

Very strong and fast, runs great. Needs very, very little to make it perfect. We have over $30,000.00 invested with receipts.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
