1962 Jaguar MK2 3.8 sedan in exceptional original condition. Purchased new at British Motor Car Distributors in San Francisco Ca on January 12th 1962. This car moved to Prescott, AZ in the 70's but remained in the same family until 2001. It has never had any rust or body damage whatsoever. It was repainted once in 2001 in Jaguar Seafrost Metallic, a color change from the original Bronze color. I would consider the repaint average, not show quality. It does not have any chips or major scratches that I could find. All of the chrome and trim is in great condition with only minor flaws from age. The window frames are near perfect, like they were chromed last week...but they are original. The rear bumper has one small dent as shown in the pictures below. All of the weatherstripping in the car is still soft and fully intact. All of the glass is original and in excellent shape, but the windshield has some scratches and a some minor road rash but no big chips. The Leather interior is believed to be original and in very good shape for its age. All of the wood garnish moldings are very nice, but the lower dashboard has some crazing in the finish. Mechanically the car is very sound and performs very well. The 3.8 litre engine has excellent power and the automatic overdrive transmission shifts flawlessly. There is record of the transmission being overhauled in 1990. Less than 1000 miles ago the head was rebuilt and the fuel system was gone through at a cost of $3200.00(with receipts) All of the lights and accessories work fine, even the radio. The drivers side turn signal isnt working, we believe it to be a switch that I have not yet located a replacement for. All of the tires were just replaced with new Excelsior Racing 650-15's. This car retains all of its original owners manuals, warranty booklets, tool kit, license plate frames, and even the original window sticker from when it was sold new. in 2001 before the repaint the car was judged at a Jaguar Club of north America Concours event and scored 984 out of a possible 1000 points. Most of the deductions were from paint flaws which have now been remedied due to the repaint. (judging sheets included) A great Jaguar that is ready to be shown and enjoyed! ***original mileage believed to be somewhere around 36000, it had a faulty speedometer years back that was repaired. 29,xxx mileage shown is not actual***

It's a well-documented car with the original dealer's invoice, warranty card, owner's manual, maintenance charts, period sales literature and records dating back to the 1980s. In October 2016 this car won Best in Class at the All British Car Show in Boerne, Tx and it has won multiple other awards throughout it's life. Sold new in San Francisco, the car spent most of its life in California and Arizona before coming to the southeast about three years ago and finally residing in Texas for the past year or so. The car has been repainted to a nice driver standard in Seafrost Metallic, a modern Jaguar color. Very solid with zero known rust issues -- floor pans, rockers, wheel arches, etc. look great. Chrome and glass are excellent. The interior is believed to be completely original and is remarkably well-preserved. Leather seats are nearly perfect; door panels, carpet, headliner and dash are excellent. The varnish shows minor checking in places but the condition of the wood itself is exceptional on both the dash and the door uppers. Modern RetroSound stereo has been installed without cutting the dash; the original factory radio still works and is included with the sale. Mechanically this example is well-sorted; it retains its original 3.8 liter Jaguar XK twin-cam inline six mated to an automatic transmission. Both the block and the head numbers match the car's data plate. The car saw a top-end engine rebuild in 2009 and a transmission rebuild in the 1990s. The transmission shifts as it should and the car drives down the highway like a dream at 80 mph. New exhaust. Brand new Michelin radials. Factory tools and jack included. It's running and driving well and all systems are working as they should.

Dressed in a Silver Blue Metallic finish, this long, sleek Jag really looks like a million bucks. It has a wonderful look that's still bright and shiny, yet inviting and appropriate for modern times as well, making it hard to resist. The restoration was so thorough and impressive back then that this car went on to win 1st place at the Concours D'elegance in 1988, and several prestigious awards since, even as recently as 2016. It's no longer as close to perfect as it was in 1988, but it still looks great today, showing only very minor age and wear, a lot of which could be corrected with a professional clay bar and cut-and-buff. Deeply plush carpets suggest luxury and help control noise and all the wood you see is actual burled walnut, not some simulation. The interior is awash in a gently used feeling of the right kind, lending it a sophisticated look that can be dressed up for a night on the town, or even for a quick run to the shoppes, as it always seems appropriate. The big steering wheel has a slender rim and the car can be guided with just your fingertips and the 4-speed automatic transmission is lever controlled on the column.
