Current bid $1,900, no reserve, 6 bids 2 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1961 JAGUAR Mk.II
listing this car for a good friend who's a licensed car dealer,
specializing in rare, classic and unusual cars. He doesn't do eBay so I listed this for him. I have inspected the car to give you the best possible description. I am an automotive engineer and have 40 years of experience with classic & foreign automobiles. Read what I found below!

TITLE INFORMATION:
clear PA title in hand

THE CONDITION:
PLEASE NOTE: The mileage shown on the odometer may or may not be the original mileage, we simply don't know. Therefore, and in compliance with federal law for cars over 10 years old, the title will state 'EXEMPT FROM ODOMETER DISCLOSURE'

This car could use a restoration! It is mostly complete and we did get the engine running by filled the float bowls with fresh gas. The stuff left in the tank would not burn, it's been in there too long. So you'll got to get the tank flushed. The same 'stuff' was also in the fuel pump and sized it. They are rebuildable and kits are available. Of course, one could just buy one of those cheap (and very reliable) electric pumps sold at Auto Zone, Pep Boys or Advance Auto Parts. It all depends on how original you'd like to make her. The car has the extremely rare and sought after 'WEBASTO' folding roof. Also, it has a very rare and valuable 'PHILLIPS' radio that looks like it might have been installed when the car was first sold in '61.

As you can see in the pics, the body is pretty nice and there isn't much rust other than on the surface. We put primer on any exposed spots to stop it from rusting. The rust issues with these cars are usually underneath, rails and floors. Not so on this one! I stuck my head under both sides: no, the floors are healthy! A very good sign and huge saving of time and money when the restoration gets underway!
All the brakes are there but they will need rebuilding.

The automatic transmission is present and the selector lever moves thru all positions but there was no way to test it because of the non funktioning brakes. The interior is very nice and it seem to be the original vinyl that came in this car. I know that everybody thinks that all jaguars had leather seats but that is not true. Especially in Europe, they used vinyl, partly to keep the price down. All the glass is good. The wood needs some refinishing/re-veneering but it's all there. We are missing the right taillight lens and left mirror, that's about all that's missing!
Again folks, this car is VERY RESTORABLE and and it won't take much to do it!

Since the saying goes, 'a picture tells more than a thousand words', I've included lots of them! Please pay attention, there's a lot of detail to be seen!
Please remember, what you see is what you get!

YOU ARE WELCOME TO INSPECT THE CAR RIGHT HER IN PLYMOUTH, PA (Luzerne County) Just let us know a day or 2 in advance!

THE VERDICT:
Even though the Jaguar Mark II isn't the rarest of Jags, the Webasto roof equiped ones are! This particular car will make for an easy, relatively inexpensive project. These cars are fun to drive and have started to get more and more attention from restorers and collectors. There are not too many out there that are as solid as this one! We will keep the reserve ultra low and put a very sensible buy-it-now price on it. I think she's worth a lot more than the B-I-N but this isn't my call! So go ahead and grab her!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
