Car to be at auction 6/13
historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2013-06-01/car/jaguar-d-type-recreation.aspx
Auction description:
1969 Jaguar D-Type Recreation
Registration RRY 40G
Chassis Number P1F7545BW
Engine Number 7F100428
Odometer reading 386 miles
Estimate £39,000 - £45,000
Built by one of the UK's leading Jaguar specialists, Revival Motorsport, RRY 40G has an impressive specification. The 4.2 litre straight six Jaguar engine is fully rebuilt and balanced with a lightened flywheel, triple Weber carburettors, competition electric fuel pump and electronic ignition. The chassis handling is taken care of by all round Gas adjustable shock absorbers with rose jointed and Polybush suspension.
The 1954 short nose bobtail design has been recreated, incorporating the single door and screen layout of OKV 3. The coachwork has been finished to the highest standard in a colour that replicates the original along with the painted racing roundels. The exterior detail finishing include, the correct style handles, bonnet straps, wheels and side exit exhaust system. On the inside the detail continues with replica instruments, leather seats complemented by Wilton carpets and a correct style steering wheel.
The standard of this stunning motor car cannot be over stated; in fact, such is the confidence in the car that the vendor is offering a twelve month unconditional warranty within the UK. Ready for the road now, this must represent the definitive opportunity to acquire a truly iconic Jaguar.
