This Jaguar 420 has been dormant for 25 years in a dry, partially heated indoor garage. Owned by a collector who is only selling it to complete other projects. It has an original mileage of 55,000 km and is in excellent condition. The interventions to be carried out due to the long period of inactivity are the following: overhaul of the brake and clutch hydraulic system, overhaul of the shock absorbers, inspection and cleaning of the cooling system and radiator, overhaul of the petrol pumps and fuel supply lines, restoration of the upholstery which has some cracks due to the passage of time (as visible from the photos). The door panels are in excellent condition as are all the wooden parts. The roof lining needs careful cleaning and the door seals are to be replaced if necessary.

Note: the lost centre console is missing.

Everything is widely documented in the photos.

The engine runs well with no problems or noises of any kind, as does the electrical system.

The car is equipped with overdrive, the complete exhaust system is new in stainless steel, the Michelin XAS tyres are practically unused but old.

Paintwork of the time, but still in very good condition. No services or recent maintenance have been carried out. The car must be picked up with a tow truck.

The spare tyre is still the original Avon bias ply and still has its original tool kit as well as the jack.

Of first Italian registration with original number plate and documents. 5 previous owners.

It is not ASI certified yet.

Original color may have been Golden Sand - The floor under the carpet are golden sand.

Missing several tools from the toolbox and center console.

Being a 1968 model it may not have the limited differential. May also have the long stud engine which exposes the studs to the engine coolant.
