Ebay item 12/15/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-340-ORIGINAL-1967-JAGUAR-340-SEDAN-CALIFORNIA-CAR ...
Current bid $12,000 reserve not met, 1 bid 6 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J67P181418BW.
Sellers description:
All original, garage kept & babied Jag. 48,410 original miles-no rollover. Owned by our aunt, who purchased it one year old in 1968. We have kept and enjoyed this California car for the last few years, and are now auctioning it off to benefit a local land trust in her memory, which she helped found. It has been in our family since 1968. The car runs beautifully, has no rust, and is mostly original, with no damage history. There are some minor scratches and marks on the exterior, some minor rust in the trunk area and the interior is flawless. The walnut dash and trim has some aging apparent on the varnish. You would be hard-pressed to find to find a more original & lovingly cared-for example of this car, which she only used to drive to her vineyard on weekends. The six cylinder engine starts readily and runs well. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, with no slippage or hesitation. All of the windows roll up and down properly, and the toggle switches and gauges work well, with the exception of the heater switch, which needs replacement. The car rides smoothly, with no pulling to either side, and the brakes are in good condition. One of the trustees of the land trust is a local car dealer, which is where the car is being stored. His staff has serviced and inspected the car, reporting only a small transmission leak. The dealer has no interest in the sale. It is available for inspection at this location in Chattanooga, TN . Buyer is responsible for inspection, shipping, registration and fees. The Jag is being sold "as is". Title is clear, and there are no lien holders. It is currently registered in Georgia.
