This early MKII 3.4 was restored in 1990, with photographic history and bills. Just 15000 miles have been covered since the restoration when the car benefited from the following upgrades:- G W Autos 4 speed automatic conversion (£4.5K) witth the 4th gear being overdrive. Recently restored woodwork, rack & pinion power steering conversion, unleaded head conversion, Zeus 4 pot front brake calliper conversion, new rear Zeus callipers, uprated brake servo, copper brake pipes, Kenlowe electric fan, alternator, Hi Torque starter motor, remote central locking, electric windows x 4 with new door cards to remove window winder holes, electric XJ40 Vanden Plas seats with new squabs and picnic tables, rear seat re trimmed to match, centre arm rest/cubby box, E-type radiator expansion tank, Luminition electronic ignition, steel Coombes rear wheel arches, halogen headlights, retro-styled modern stereo with CD, Aux in MP3 and iPhone input, chrome instrument rings & LED instrument bulbs, stainless steel exhaust system, uprated fan heater motor and matrix.
While the purist may not appreciate the list of modifications, there are many people who have parted with huge sums of money for "modernised" MKII Jaguars from people such as Beacham and Vicararge. In fact there are still people offering such cars at £80,000 plus and there would appear to be no shortage of takers. Why? Because they offer all of the style that origjnally made these cars a thing of desire, while giving the driver the sensation of driving a much more modern car.
This MKII represents outstanding value for money .
Guide Price: £17000 to £21000
