Current bid $5,000 reserve not met, 1 bid, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This beautiful 1956 Jaguar Mark VII was in the same family for 50 years. It was originally sold in England and shipped to Rhodesia in 1957. After 10 years of use in southern Africa it was shipped to the United States. It has been in the U.S. ever since (mostly in California & Arizona). This elegant automobile has good upholstery and runs excellent. It has a right hand drive 4-Speed manual transmission and a sunroof. The unique badge bar and badges show off the car's early history in South Africa. There is no rust.

The car does need a right hand fuel pump, an overdrive switch, a hood release, and the interior woodwork could use refinishing. The true miles of this piece of history is unknown.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
