Ebay item 1/7/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $11,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1952 Jaguar Mark VII (28,464miles ) I bought this car from a retired college instructor. Not only did I get an old car , I got history with the car. I’m going to put a * by each item that is documented. I have altered the names to protect people’s privatcy. The documents will be released to the buyer intact. I have tried to piece the parts of the documents together with the story that has been handed down with the car. In 1952 * Prof. Robert F. C. ( San Jose State College) went to England. At some point he supposedly saw Queen Elizabeth in a gray w/ red stripe Jaguar. Prof. R.F.C. was so impressed he purchased a 1952 Jaguar Mark VII. The red was added after it arrived in the U.S.A. The car was imported to the U.S.A. The instruction manual * passed customs Dec 15,1952. * Prof. R.F.C lived in Encino, California. * An insurance id. shows 1952 Jaguar policy expires 1/19/54. * California registration showing Encino, California address for 1958,1959,1960 and 1961. * In July 1960 a new battery And 5 new VP 120 650/16 black wall tires and tubes where purchased. These are the same tires that are on it today. This why I believe the miles to be correct. These tires are weather checked but the tread is near new. In 1963 Prof.R.F.C purchased an estate of 47 acres in north California. At this point Prof. R.F.C had to purchase new plates for the Jaguar. * In 1963 the Jaguar got new black California plates. * These plates #LTW576 and registrations *1963, 1965,1966 and 1967 with Seiad, California address. These black California plates are still on the car today. . It at this point that the records came to a 28 year halt. In1967 the car was put in a shed with a concrete floor. The car rested there until 1995. * The car was willed to Mr. R.C nephew of Prof. R.F.C. Mr. R.C. and friend went to Seiad , Califoria ( Happy Camp ) to retreave the car. On 10/29/06 I called a man who’s name I found on the back of one of the pictures. Mr. K.F. told me he was in fact there when the car was retreaved. He said we had quite a time because the car was up on blocks and the shed was resting on the cars left front fender. This would explain the dent in that fender and why the tires look as good as they do. The car was brought to southeast Idaho where Mr.R. C. lives. *After three years (3) in Mr.R.C. garage/shop he sold it to Mr. B.W. .* Bob owned the car for eight (8 ) years. Bob said he put a total of one ( 1 ) mile on the car in all that time. As for me , I have driven it 6 miles . ( so far ) The car has some small dents, nothing of any signifigance. The car runs well. The clutch feels fine. It shifts fine, also it needs the brakes bleed. The wheel cylinders and master have been kited .It has oil leaks , hell at 50+ I do too! The heater, turn signals ,lights are ok. The glass is near perfect no rock chips or cracks. The wood needs refinished appears unbroken or cracked. *The carpet is new , purchased by Mr.B.W. for $561.42. The driver seat is unsewn and in need of repair. The car is in need of repairs. To restore would greatly hurt the value of the car. There are numerous receipts for different items bought for the car through the years. The car is 55 years old and sold as is. I found a receipt behind the spare tire for a voltage regulator $5.06 dated 1963. I highly recommend you come see or have a reprosenative check the car for you. This old car is just cool!

I purchased this car in Jan 2007. It is now located in Hollywood (Ft Lauderdale) Florida. Currently undergoing cosmetic restoration. This car has a total of just over 28,500 verifiable miles since new. Car will be left as original wherever possible. All original matching numbers. Restoration will mainly be what is commonly referred to as "tidying up". It is too original to re-do and lose the original patina. More current pix will be posted as progress occurs. It is a very nice, original car that will be appreciated and driven as such.....

Sellers description:
Selling my 1952 Jaguar Mark VIII with 28,580 original miles. This Jaguar is in impeccable condition. If you are a collector or just want something rare to drive on occasion this is it! Not many left like this one on the world. This is a exquisite automobile and will satisfy just about anybody. I can't do a no reserve on this vehicle but will offer a reasonable reserve. I have a lot of money into this car and it will only be sold to someone who appreciates the car and it's value. I welcome inspections anytime based around work schedule and availability of course. The car has no rust and no issues. Down to the smallest detail. Mechanically its a 10 - Exterior is a 10 - Interior is a 10. There is also of course not a spot of rust anywhere. That means no rust anywhere. This vehicle will include documentation and appraisal certificate for $47,895. My reserve is a fraction of that price and it has gone up in value since. This means everything functions as it should and it is super clean in and out as you can see by the photos. Info from Jaguar below.
