Seller's description:
1953 Jaguar MK VII

The owner of this beautiful cat purchased her back in 1998 with the idea of fully restoring her. She had a small spot of rust in the right front wing and two small spots under each rear door. Those were fixed with welded metal. After doing that bit of work the car was painted. He sourced many of the chrome bits from a parts car he purchased separately and cleaned them up and installed them. He believes he may be the 3rd - 4th owner of the car as the person he bought it from locally in CT had owned the car for many years as well. Unfortunately, as it has been said too many times, life got in the way and she got shifted to a small storage garage. He is looking to clear out a couple of the units he has and the biggest thing in the largest unit is this Mark 7.

The car is numbers matching, with just 57,000 miles on the 3.4L XK DOHC engine, which turns freely. Reportedly the car will start and run with fuel and a battery.

The known "options" are a Hill Assist brake/transmission set up and turn signals AND trafficator/semaphores.

The red leather bench seat is not original, where as the back seat is. The owner does have the bucket seats for the car but they are currently not local to the car.

There are boxes and boxes of most of the parts needed to finish this car off (aside from refinishing the wood and the upholstery). With just a little work, she could be road ready, albeit not show ready. Currently only the stock exhaust manifold is bolted to the engine however, there is a muffler and exhaust that comes with the car.

This car is rust/rot free and all she really needs is to be finished to become an even more pretty kitty.

Asking price on her is just $7600

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
