Ebay item 6/22/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $18,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 1 day left in auction. 87k miles.
Sellers description:
Jaguar Mark 2 year 1966 it is a 3.8 Litre 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive.
I have owned this car since 1992 when I purchased it whilst living in Zimbabwe. The climate is Zimbabwe is very similar if not better that California therefore the body and chrome are all in great shape.
The numbers are all matching and original and the car runs well.
Coming from Zimbabwe this car is RIGHT HAND DRIVE.
I have completed the British Car Conclave in Denver last year, I also ran the car for for about 150 miles a few weeks ago into the mountains around Denver.
Mechanically the car is very good, I had the engine overhauled about 10 years ago before I left Africa, and I only run about 500 miles a year on special outings it has only run about 5000 miles since overhaul. The only modification are a spin on oil filter as its easier to change and a gear driven Japenese starter.
I am only selling the car as I want to get a TR6 or TR250 for the soft top, and onle need 2 seats as the kids have left home.
The car has a few blemishes mainly due to shipping damage rubbed through paint on the shipment from South Africa and when I dropped my bike on it on the front wing, a couple of things don't work, mainly the Fuel gauge, the speedo needs a new cable and drivers inside door handle need attention.
