Ebay item 10/24/18www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Jaguar-Other-Sedan/283225268556
Starting bid: $44,500 no bids, 6 days left in auction, seller marksnowing, 55k miles. Note VIN is best guess, seller provided VIN is 3455DN, corrections requested.
Seller's description:
You are looking at a very original 1965 3.8 MKII Jaguar, I purchased the car from the original owner when it was 9 years old in 1974. It has been in my ownership for 44 years. I have the clear original title in my name from 1974.
It has 55,333 miles on it. The speedo reads 6,333 and that was because it was changed at 49,000 when the old speedo broke. That happened a couple of years after I bought it.
Specs
3.8 liter engine
4 speed manual w/ overdrive
Over stuffed front seats
4 wheel power assist disc brakes
Chrome wire knockoff wheels
Power steering
No Radio it never had one
It is all original except for the paint. I had it painted soon after I got the car. Its presentable but not a perfect paint job. The are a few small dents and dings but all of them were from being in storage.
Seats have cracks but no tears, Carpet is all original and in great shape, there is a small hole in the carpet where your foot rubs against it at the transmission hump.
Wiring is all original. The engine has never been broken into and runs like a champ. Carbs and Power steering were recently rebuilt. Fuel system and fuel tank were flushed and cleaned. Brakes were also overhauled.
It was recently serviced at Consolidated Jaguar in Portland Oregon and is in great running shape.
There are a few items that could be done. It will soon need a new clutch and ball joints. All of the rubber door seals have rotted away. They were the original door seals.
Its ready to drive away. I don’t think there are many of these cars in as original condition as this one.
