The first truck with monocoque body of Jaguar was born in 1955 with beautiful engine XK brought back to 2,4 L, it acted of the Saloon 2,4 L. The car is beautiful and succeeded, success is immediate. This innovation breaks definitively with the past, it becomes low. Any beginning 1957, a new version is proposed with engine 3, 4 L which transfigure the model as well on the level of the performances as of the approval of control. On October 2, 1959, on the stand Jaguar of Earl' S Court, William Lyons is happy. It presents its new mounting: the Jaguar Mk II. The level of completion is identical in terms of invaluable woodworks and leather high quality, the true innovation comes from the light. By refining all the amounts of the panes, the luminosity could make bright entered the cockpit, and the general line is some reduced. Under the cap, three possibilities the 2,4 L, 3,4 L or the engine of 3,8 L. It is a total success and the line of Mk II will remain, in everyone's opinion, like one of the most beautiful cars of the mark, the true truck of sport! The model presented is to be restored.
