The car on offer today was built in 1969 and is finished in Cotswold Blue coachwork with a dark blue leather interior which is in great condition for its age. An original 2.4 litre car with automatic transmission, it is offered with a current MoT test certificate and road fun licence. It is thought to have been restored some 10 years ago by one of its six former keepers and has since been used as a reliable everyday classic and the current owner stresses it starts on the button every time. This competitively priced example is a fantastic opportunity to own one of these iconic saloons for an affordable price and a sound future investment.

Never Cotswold Blue in a million years. If it is any Jaguar colour it is Powder Blue, but it does not really even resemble that . I do wish these auctioneers were more accurate in their descriptions

The 240 engine now had a straight-port cylinder head, twin HS6 SU carburettors, and offered 133bhp at 5,500rpm and 100mph
Matching set of Avon tyres
This example was supplied to new by Sidney Marcus Ltd, to Florence M Burleigh on 17th January 1969. Presented in Light Blue with Dark Blue ambla interior, it still remains in that the same specification today. The condition of this example is fantastic and really needs to be seen to appreciate just how good it is. Finished in maybe the best colour combination with a perfect interior and wood trim, beautiful paintwork and amazing chrome, both in the condition and cleanliness, but also the fitting, it truly is a sight to behold. All finished off with a perfect set of knock on wire wheels and matching correct tyres.
The paintwork displays a lovely lustre, and all the brightwork is still shining brightly. The interior is equally as good with great trim and good carpets. Starting on the button, the straight-six engine gives a lovely soundtrack that transports you straight back to the sixties, and driving this car provides ample enjoyment and is more than capable of keeping up with modern day traffic. Parts are readily available, and there are various good clubs to join for great advice and assistance.
Although it is unclear when the restoration was carried out, it has held up well since. It is on the button and ready to be used and enjoyed for many more years to come.
