This 1967 Jaguar S-Type 3.4 Manual Overdrive has been owned by the vendor since 2012. It came to him as a body with just a gearbox (the all-synchromesh version), block and cylinder head. Everything else had to be sourced and fitted. Having spent nearly £35,000, he has decided to sell this vehicle as he no longer has the time or love to continue with the car, and intends to down size and move away.
The cylinder head has been rebuilt, valves, seats, guides and head re-skimmed, and the block had the crank bearings all replaced. The gearbox and clutch were deemed to be fine, so no work was required there. The car has a brand new interior, wire wheels and tyres, as well as replacement carburettors, wiper motor, radiator, clutch cylinders, and brake master cylinders. New brake seals and new pots were fitted in the original callipers, and new copper brake pipes were fitted throughout.
Included in the sale is a workshop manual, and a full history of parts and work carried out, which will show where the money was spent, and the fact that no expense was spared.
Sold for: £17,050
