4.2L engine
Important invoice file
French registration card
Our copy of Jaguar Type S was registered for the first time in France on October 22, 1964 in the property of Paul Meurisse, famous actor. Kept in the family of Paul Meurisse until 1977, it was immobilized for almost 14 years in the dry before being bought in 1991 by a new owner who undertook a complete restoration of the vehicle and an engine change. Indeed, the car's original 3.4L was replaced by a 4.2L from a Jaguar XJ6 with 5,300 km. The engine was mounted with the gearbox which was coupled to it: a 5-speed manual gearbox and overdrive. A new owner acquired the feline in 1999 and kept it for 15 years to pass it on to the current owner. Many costs were incurred by the owner to make this vehicle reliable and usable in any situation; thus, were redone:
-the clutch
-the head gasket
-the fuel gauge
-the front braking system
-the brake master cylinder
-the stainless steel exhaust line
-the fuel hoses
-the candles
-the engine silentblocs
- the fuel pump
In the interior, the passage of time has weathered the leather and the wood veneer of the dashboard, but everything is functional. Very comfortable and luxurious, our Type S is interesting for its history and its completely revised mechanics. "
