Car returns to ebay 1/29/10

Current bid $3,000, no reserve, 3 bids 5 days left in auction. Car still in Bakersfield. 43k miles.

Sellers description:
The car was originally running when it was garaged over 28 years ago, I purchased it 4/08 from the owners widow, it has since been garaged. I purchased it for a project car along with another MK2 and started on the other first and now need the room in my garage.

The 4.2 engine is automatic and was rebuilt years ago per last owner but it is not currently running. This is a California car and is rust free. The body is in good condition with only a few minor dings, it is gray over silver and has the original wire spoke wheels. All the chrome is intact and is in good condition. The interior is all there with wood and leather but needs to also be restored.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
