The car on offer today was built in 1965 and is finished in black coachwork with complementing maroon leather interior. Over the last two years this Jaguar Mk.II has been the subject of a complete restoration and modernization which includes the body being repaired where necessary and then repainted, new Coombs rear wheel spats in steel fitted and all the chrome work re-plated. The interior of the car has been refurbished including the seats being restored with new door cards made and fitted, all the woodwork restored and re-veneered to the highest standard in Burr Walnut and retractable, colour coded front seat belts fitted. No expense has been spared to the mechanical restoration of this car. The engine has been fully rebuilt and bored out to 3.8 litres; the cylinder head has been skimmed and modified for unleaded fuel, the flywheel lightened and new clutch fitted. The original Moss gearbox and overdrive unit has been completely overhauled and a new prop shaft fitted leading to a high ratio rear differential. A new, balanced, stainless steel exhaust system has been made and fitted to a bespoke six branch exhaust manifold. An all new, full flow oil system and cooler has been fitted along with a new radiator and Kenlow fan. On the electrical side, the dynamo has been replaced with an alternator and the car has been fitted with electronic ignition. The front and rear suspension have been fully rebuilt with the dampers having been replaced with Koni shock absorbers. The braking system has also been up-rated with Coopercraft ventilated brake discs and calipers to both front and rear. It has been fitted with a hydraulic power assisted steering system and is riding on fifteen inch competition wire wheels fitted with Pirelli P4000 tyres. This Jaguar has been rebuilt to the highest of standards and so can be used for any situation from track days, to the daily commute, to concours events. It is supplied with a new MoT test certificate, a V5C registration document, photographs of the body restoration and a comprehensive file of invoices.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
