Additional auction info:
Registration no. VYJ 438 Chassis no. 150185 DN Engine no. KG 13499
A very early Mk2 (the righthand-drive chassis number sequence commenced at ‘150001’), this fine example of Jaguar’s perennially popular sports saloon was re-imported into the UK from Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) in 1993 and professionally restored in this country in the late 1990s. A desirable manual/overdrive-equipped model described by the vendor as ‘A1’ throughout, boasts a stainless-steel exhaust system and chromed wire wheels, and is finished in the attractive combination of British Racing Green with matching leather interior. The vehicle is offered complete with original toolkit, Heritage Certificate, road fund licence/MoT to May 2004 and Swansea V5.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
