Ebay item 1/11/14 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-Other-Mk-2-Sedan-1962-jaguar-mk-2-sedan-4-speed-runs-dri ...
Current bid $3,383, no reserve, 13 bids 6 days left in auction. 86k miles.
Sellers description:
1962 Jaguar MK 2 sedan. The Jag is listed at no reserve and will sell. This is a right hand drive car equipped with a 2.4 6 cylinder dohc engine and 4 speed transmission. The car drives and stops well with the brakes having very few miles since a total rebuild 7-8 years ago. Transmission and rear end are noise and clunk free. Engine fires up instantly with no smoke no adverse noises. Idle is very smooth. Carbs have recently been rebuilt and are dual downdraught Solex's. Exhaust is complete and still well hung but does have a couple of joints with slight leaks. Tires are in good condition. No major oil leaks, there are some drips...come on it's a Jag.
Exterior is decent with the paint still presentable with a few chips here and there but no major dents or damage. Chrome is still nice and bright. There are rust bubbles showing in spots with some previous rust repair in the lower rockers. Interior is original with the front seats worn. Rear seats are pretty decent. Carpet is not bad as well. Wood is still nice with all the little interior appointments still intact and there. Gauges work except for the tach which has been traced to the sender at the rear of the engine. Doors open and close correctly. Windows roll up and down with no damage to the glass or regulators.
The car has been in storage forever it seems like and does need some minor tuning and attention to details such as an oil change, radiator flush and common sense maintenance items to be an everyday dependable driver. I am starting this car cheap with the expectation that someone is going to get an old classic at a very reasonable price. I have listed all the #'s on the under hood ID tag which should answer most questions about what the car is.
