Manufactured 24th Sept 1956. Delivered 12th Oct 1956 to dealer Mandilas and Karaberis, Lagos, Nigeria. Migrated to Mildura, in outback Australia at some point. Purchased by myself Aug 2012 in Australia. Shipped to London 2015 as moved home. Garaged in the winter and driven in the summer. Originally 2. 4L (and has 2. 4 badge) changed to 3. 4L with previous owner. Originally white but bare metal respray to Grey in 2021 by expert grey beard in Essex. Over the years has swapped to wider rear axle, negative earth and distributer but have original generator if you want. Maintained in UK by one of the few remaining expert Jag mechanics in London. I am moving back to Australia in the next year and I don't need a second car there as I left my 1960 SWB Series 2 Landrover behind to wait for me. The body is immaculate as shown, the leather is perfectly comfortable and I personally prefer it that way. Inspection, video or high resolution images on request. I never regretted getting a "MK1" as I am comfortable using wing mirrors and the dash is so much nicer than the "Mk2". If you live somewhere you need to drive (unlike London) it will serve you perfectly as a daily drive or a weekender to show off depending on your style. Endeavour Morse would be proud.
