This 1960 Jaguar Mk II underwent a multi-year refurbishment in Idaho in the 1990s, and it is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six linked with a T5 five-speed manual transmission. Finished in blue over biscuit leather, the car is equipped with a PowrLok limited-slip differential, 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, halogen headlamps, wood interior trim, a Sherwood cassette stereo, and rear tray tables. The seller purchased the vehicle in April 2026 from the estate of the person who had the Jaguar refurbished. The fuel system subsequently was overhauled, the front brake hoses and the tires were replaced, the turn-signal switch was repaired, and a paint correction was performed. This Mk II is now offered with refurbishment records and photos, manufacturer’s literature, car-show awards, a tool kit, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.
Metalwork, welding, and panel fitting were completed before the car was stripped, primed, sealed, and refinished in blue by Vintage Jag Works of Blackfoot, Idaho, during the aforementioned refurbishment. In addition, the chrome bumpers and other brightwork were replated, and the seals for the glass were replaced. Equipment includes a Leaper hood ornament, halogen headlamps, a pop-up cowl vent, rear wheel spats, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome wraparound bumpers with overriders as well as a chrome grille, window surrounds, and trim. An “Automatic” badge is affixed to the trunk lid. A paint correction was performed in May 2026.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires measuring 185VR15. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension and a cantilevered live rear axle. The steering is power assisted. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The front brake hoses were replaced in spring 2026, as were the tires.
The front bucket seats and rear bench have been reupholstered in biscuit leather supplied by BAS Jaguar Trim. Replacement burl walnut veneers adorn the dashboard, door panels, and window surrounds. Amenities include a Sherwood XR-2304 AM/FM/cassette stereo, aftermarket speakers, a center console, front and rear vent windows, interior lighting, cinnamon-colored carpeting, a fold-down rear center armrest, and fold-down wooden tray tables for rear occupants. The turn-signal switch was repaired in preparation for the sale, and the shifter linkage was lubricated.
The two-spoke steering wheel has a horn ring and fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, and centrally positioned auxiliary gauges displaying oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.8-liter XK inline-six was rebuilt during the refurbishment, during which the crankshaft was reground, the oil pump was rebuilt, and the cylinder sleeves, pistons, rings, cam bearings, timing chain, exhaust valves, and the valve springs and guides were replaced. The fuel system was overhauled in spring 2026 with replacement of the SU fuel pump, the pre-filter and glass bowl, and the fuel-level sending unit; copper washers were fitted in place of the banjo-bolt fiber washers. In addition, the battery and battery-cable ends were replaced and the throttle linkage was adjusted, as were the idle and the timing.
The T5 five-speed manual transmission was installed in 2000, and the pedal assembly, clutch components, cam plate, driveline coupling, and shifter components were fitted along with a PowrLok limited-slip differential. The car was originally equipped with an automatic transmission.
Nearly 100 pages of service records documenting over 1,100 hours of work and more than $65k in costs are included.
