    Ebay item 5/6/07
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $1,025 reserve not met, 3 bids, 7 days left in auction. 88k miles.

    Sellers description:
Daimler Sedan with the original Hemi V-8 and Automatic Transmission. This car is a right hand drive import that represents the best place to start a restoration from. Nearly identical to the Jaguar MkII with the exception of the engine and accessories details. This nearly complete car is in solid condition underneath and throughout the body and will not require any rust out rehabilitation.
The Wheels seem to be true but have some surface rust. The tires are aged and will need to be replaced.
The missing Center section Radio mount is included.
The interior is mostly complete but was partially disassembled at one point. The seats leather is hard and will need to be redone for long term use. The door panels are ok, but not good enough for continued use. The headliner is ok and is not drooping. The wood is in good condition but will need to be refinished and re-installed at some point.
Free of damage and no Rocker Rot. A great place to start from as rust repair is expensive in these cars, so a car like this is a must.
The motor runs, is quiet, and sounds good. The fuel system will need to be flushed as we simply ran it from gravity feed. It is complete and original.
The car has had a bare metal re-paint but the quality is not up to standard. In generally good condition, it will require a repaint to present well for show. A scratch on the drivers door.

Opening bid $4,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 2 days left in auction. Car now said to be located in Mesa, Arizona.

    Sellers Description:
1966 very collectable classic that needs some simple reassembly. These cars sell for astronomical amounts of money in Europe. Rust free and complete, this car starts and runs, it has an automatic transmission. The brakes work and it can be driven. The more I work on this car the more I realize that it will turn into a wonderful collectible vehicle. This car is extremely rare, even in England this car would be unusual. The Daimler version of this car was made in very limited numbers and the main difference between it, and the Jaguar Mk2 is the 2.5 liter Hemi V8. The mass produced Jaguar had a straight 6 engine, and the Jags where made in huge numbers and are not rare at all. I hope you enjoy the pictures, as you can see the car is in very nice condition and will be easy to reassemble. Or you could take it completely apart and start over with a 100 point show car restoration.

It's the interior wood and carpets that need to be installed to complete the car. Remember it hasn't been running on the road for some time so attention to safety related items (brakes etc) will have to be checked before sending your wife of to the store in this car!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
