Sellers description:

Transmission: 4-speed Manual

Chassis: P181080

Mileage Reads: 52,547

*All Known History From New*

*Matching Numbers Engine*

Chassis # 181080 has seen only 52,000 miles in her 48 years and 5 owners since new. Extremely well cared for and documented, she is still an excellent driver with recent restoration of the interior and paint.

Purchased new in NY in 1968, the 340 had accumulated 28,750 miles when she found a home in Memphis in 1971. By 1976, and with her 3rd owner, mileage had reached almost 51,000 before moving to Texas. The final two owners drove this beautiful car infrequently and focused on preservation.

With original dealer documents, tools, impressive service records and a photographically documented repaint on a "rust and bondo free car" (most recent owner), this vehicle represents a high standard of originality and low mileage and sits awaiting your inspection!

Lot #244791

This 1967 Jaguar Mk II was built in February 1967 and dispatched to a distributor in New York, and it was refurbished in 2016, around the time of the current owner’s acquisition of the vehicle. Powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission, the car is finished in black over red leather upholstery. Rack-and-pinion steering has been adapted, as have an aluminum radiator and a stainless-steel exhaust system. Other equipment includes 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, and a dual-snorkel Coopers Cleaner air-filter setup as well as driving lights, wood interior trim, and a cabin heater. The fuel pump, hoses, and battery were replaced in 2025. This Mk II is now offered in Connecticut on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, manufacturer’s literature, related books, removed rear-wheel spats, a car cover, and New Hampshire registration.

The car was disassembled and refinished in black during the aforementioned refurbishment, according to the seller. Exterior equipment includes a Leaper hood ornament, driving lights, door-mounted side mirrors, a pop-up cowl vent, pop-out vent windows, “340” badging, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome wraparound bumpers with overriders as well as a chrome grille, window surrounds, and trim.

Chrome-finished 15″ replacement wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 195/65 Dunlop Enasave 01 A/S tires. Rack-and-pinion steering has been adapted, as have GAZ shocks. Braking is provided by discs at all four corners.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that were retrimmed in red leather during the refurbishment, which also involved replacement of the color-coordinated carpeting. The burl walnut veneers on the dashboard, door caps, and window frames also were refurbished. The seller notes that the door panels and the headliner have not been replaced. Appointments include three-point front seatbelts, a heater, and interior lighting.

The two-spoke steering wheel has a horn ring and fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline. Additional readouts for water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and battery amperage are positioned in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.4-liter XK inline-six is fueled by dual SU carburetors that are augmented by a dual-snorkel Coopers Cleaner air-filter setup. An aluminum radiator and a stainless-steel exhaust system were installed in 2024. The fuel pump, hoses, and battery were replaced in late 2025, and the fluids were changed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists serial numbers, factory colors, and a manufacture date of February 20, 1967.

The vehicle is being sold on its New Hampshire registration, which serves as the ownership document in New Hampshire. The registration expired in August 2025 and lists the car’s model as “MK2 340”.
