Offered here is a fine example of an early 3.4, which is equipped with the desirable manual + overdrive transmission. The car has been in the hands of just three owners in 45 years and covered a warranted 29,000 miles in that time. The first owner covered the majority of the miles and the vendor, who has owned the car for 26 years, has used the car sparingly and stored it correctly when not in use.

Finished in Gunmetal Grey with navy blue leather, the car is described as being in very original condition, structurally and mechanically but has benefited from a full repaint, wood veneer refurbishment, rubber seal replacement and Waxoyle injection of all cavities. During the present ownership the fuel lines have also been renewed, together with brake pads, road springs, shock absorbers, suspension bushes and seals also being replaced.

The car is described as being in outstanding condition and is said to drive as one would expect of a 29000 mile MKII.

Despatched to Henlys London Limited on the 19th August 1964, this delightful 3.4 Litre engined Mark II Jaguar must have caused a real stir on the streets of swinging 60’s London. Specified in the highly desirable livery of Silver Grey over a sumptuous Dark Blue Leather interior, it was optioned with manual overdrive transmission and factory fitted power steering. According to the supplied original warranty card, the Jaguar’s first owner was a K. Lazenby esq, who resided at one of Kensington’s very desirable addresses, Pembroke Court, Edwardes Square, W8.

Further, more extensive history begins during the 1990’s, when the saloon had retired from day-to-day use and entered enthusiast ownership. At some point, it was subject to a repaint in its original colour scheme and the interior woodwork was treated to revarnishing work whilst the delightfully preserved original leatherwork was kept intact. The odometer reading has only slightly increased since a MoT certificate dated to 1985, when it showed just 29,131 miles, and it now shows just 30,053 miles, although we can not confirm if this is certain.

The previous owner, a family friend of the vendor, purchased the car from Harvey Wash Ltd in 2021 for the sum of some £27,750, and some rectification work was conducted at JD Classics in 2024 / 2025 before handing over custodianship earlier this year. Our vendor is a talented and respected Jaguar specialist, and he recently fitted the current chrome wire wheels and performed some wiring work to ready it for sale.

Now offered complete with its current V5c, several invoices for previous works, the warranty card and a Jaguar heritage certificate, this fine ‘big cat’ is now ready for a new, loving home who will cherish it as much as its previous owners did.
