Car at auction 7/26
www.historics.co.uk/auction/lot/lot-189---1967-jaguar-mk-ii/
18th Jul, 2026 The Summer Serenade; Windsorview Lakes
1967 Jaguar Mk. II
Estimate £20,000 - £25,000
Registration: LUO 590F
Chassis No: 1J1419
Odometer: 6,594
In continuous care for over 40 years
Carefully maintained and restored
This delightful example has carefully restored around a decade ago, and still presents well, having covered scarcely any miles since. Showing a mileage of 6,594, our vendor has kept it dry-stored and well-maintained throughout his ownership. The Old English White paintwork presents well, with only some minor micro blistering, while the interior is, in his words, in lovely condition – the carpets, wood, headlining and chrome are all fabulous. With an extensive history file stretching back to 1982 when he purchased it, the original bill of sale is included, this car has certainly led a storied life. Mk. IIs are often noted for their involvements in police chases in period, however when he purchased the car in 1982 our vendor was immediately flagged down by the police, who found around £500 hidden under the backseat, and impounded the car as it had previously been involved in a robbery! Our innocent vendor was soon able to retrieve his Jaguar and has cared for it ever since.
Despite showing seven former keepers since 1982, our vendor informs us that the car has been in his care for that duration; however, in 2005 he was forced to sell it to a close friend (though he continued to keep it in his care) before he bought it back in 2019. Now seeking funds to build his dream house, he needs to sell his beloved Jaguar once again. Consigned by Charlie McCreery
