Lot #91934
This 1965 Jaguar MK X is finished in beige over red leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes chrome 15″ wire wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, triple SU carburetors, power steering, front and rear air conditioning, three-point front seat belts, rear folding tables, and an aftermarket head unit. The car was refurbished in Pennsylvania in 1999, with work including a repaint of the exterior, the reupholstering of the interior, and a refresh of the engine. The seller acquired it in September 2022 and subsequent service included changing the oil and flushing additional fluids. This MK X is now offered at no reserve with a tool kit, car show awards, repair manuals, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, refurbishment photos, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Sand and was disassembled and repainted in 1999. Exterior elements include chrome bumpers with overriders, a cowl vent, fender-mounted side mirrors, front and rear vent windows, and polished dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome 15″ wire wheels wear simulated knock-offs and are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P4 tires. The car is equipped with independent rear suspension and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with inboard rear discs. Modifications are said to have included installing stainless steel brakes lines and Teflon-lined and stainless-steel braided brake hoses.
The interior is said to have been refurbished and features reclining front seats and a rear bench trimmed in red leather upholstery with a color-coordinated lower dash, door panels, and replacement carpets. The headliner is said to have been reupholstered and appointments include front and rear air conditioning, burl wood trim, power steering, three-point front seat belts, Coco Mats floor mats, rear folding tables, and an aftermarket head unit.
A black two-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset analog clock, and centrally-mounted auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles and true mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with triple SU carburetors and was factory rated to make 265 horsepower. The car has been fitted with a stainless-steel exhaust system and the seller states a service in preparation for the sale included changing the oil and flushing fluids.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Corrosion is noted on underside surfaces.
