Sellers description:
One family owner from new and 100% original. Purchased new in Switzerland in late 1963 by the father, and beautifully maintained by him for decades until his passing. After that, his son, who wanted to keep the car in the family and keep it to his father's high standards, brought the car to the US. It has been here for the last 10 years and has likewise been very well cared for.
This car is completely original with just 64,000 miles from new. Paint, while not perfect is really nice overall. No damage, no dings or dents, panel fit is excellent. There is one area of corrosion which is limited to a very small spot on the front edge of the passenger side rocker panel... easily and inexpensively repaired. The interior is simply amazing. Completely original leather, carpets, woodwork and headliner. All fantastic.
There are copious records on the car dating back to virtually new, and documenting all of the service on the car, as well as showing the importation to the US. All of these records go with the car, as does the original owner's manual and the impossible to replace original tool kit.
This is clearly not a rare car, but to find one in such original condition with a history like this is indeed rare. I am a broker of very rare vintage sports car, have been in the business for 25 years. I am selling the car for the family as they are moving out of state and don't have room for the car and want, more than anything, to find it a good home. The car is located at the owner's home in Greenwich CT.
