Seen on eBay, November 2006:
"Wow !! This 1959 Mark 1 has been parked in a barn in Colorado since 1968 ..39 years ! This first of the series Jaguar is complete with the twin cam 3.4 motor and drive train still intact as if it where parked in a time warp..the car is equiped with a 4 speed standard gear box with Overdrive ! I have not tried to start it (as i am not familiar with these and am afraid i will break something ).the car will need restoration. Included in the purchase price is ..a complete short block engine ,transmission, twin cam head ,refinished wood kit for the complete dash area and misc. other parts. The body metal is in great condition except some surface rust where the water dripped through the roof of the barn onto the passengers front quarter ...the undercarriage is nice as it has not seen a roadway in 39 years ! The trim chrome is in very good shape .the car was inside out of the sunlight... The interior is all intact but faded a bit . the seat covers where on the seats when i purchased the car.. so assume the seats will need some attention . The frames and backs are in nice shape.... BUY NOW or bid ....This car is a piece or motoring history,DON'T miss you chance to own this car . THE FIRST MARK in a long series .. First time offered for sale in 40 years ! "
