Sellers description:
This particular vehicle was stored for almost 30 years in a Quonset in Western Canada until I purchased it 4 years ago and began the restoration. I purchased the car for $5,500.00 and invested another $12,000.00 + over that period. The car runs great now except for the year old fuel in it.
The carburetors were just rebuilt which cost $1,000.00. It has new brakes, tires, all wiring, new battery and fuel pump. The gas tank had a leak and was rusted so it was repaired and relined. The paint is original from what I can tell and what I’ve been told. I’ve had a licensed mechanic friend who has done the work on it the past few years so I do not have much in the way of receipts as I paid him cash for services. I drove this car home and to my warehouse down the highway at over 70 MPH. The chrome is all in excellent condition except on the license plate light which is pitted. This car is 50 years old and was well ahead of it’s time. It’s straight and is a restorer’s dream as it comes with an interactive CD ROM repair manual I purchased in England. The car is North American – left hand drive.
The flaws:
* Crack in front windshield as shown
* Needs paint job
* Seats are 50 years old but in fair shape
* Liner has a hole and tear in the rear as shown
* Front end seals, joints etc. need to be replaced as I have not done that yet
* Wood panelling on dash needs to be restored.
* Minor surface rust as shown
* Brakes still grab a bit
* Car needs a paint job and some TLC
