Finished in Carmen Red with Red leather upholstery, this Jaguar MKI is variously described by the vendor as being in "very good" (bodywork, interior trim), "A1" (engine, electrical equipment, gearbox) or "85%" (paintwork) condition. Beginning life as a 2.4 Litre Automatic model, 'VYR 799' has since been converted to 3.4 Litre Manual/Overdrive specification. Reputedly the subject of restoration work during the early/mid-1990s, it has been in the current ownership since April 1st 1997. Apparently driven on an almost everyday basis over the past sixteen years, the Jaguar is further understood to have had its engine overhauled by marque specialist George Cage at some stage.
