Jaguar saloons are always keenly contested and this 1958 Mk1 2.4 saloon will be no exception. These are the purist's saloon and this example is painted in Black with Red trim and of course it has the 2483cc unit and the manual gearbox with overdrive.
There is a large history file with the car including lots of handwritten accounts and previous M.O.T.'s and these show that it has been slowly restored over many years. The accounts show that a fortune has been spent but the paintwork has been done in a piecemeal fashion but the car has only covered 10000 miles in the last twenty years. It has disc brakes all round and although the paintwork is not brilliant we are informed that the car runs very well indeed. It is really a 1.5 model as although it is a Mk1 it has some Mk2 bits on it i.e. the disc brakes.
The car has a current M.O.T. test until February of next year and these cars are now becoming rare to see on the roads.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
