The 1959 Jaguar Mark IX was the last model in the Mark IX range and had many special features, including:
Brakes: The Mark IX was the first Jaguar to come standard with four-wheel servo-assisted Dunlop disc brakes. The brakes also had a vacuum reserve tank to help maintain braking if the engine stalled.
Power steering: The Mark IX also came standard with recirculating ball power steering.
Engine: The Mark IX has a 3.8-liter XK engine and could reach a top speed of 115 mph with a 0-60 time of 11.3 seconds.
Interior: The Mark IX has a luxurious interior with leather seats, a burr walnut dash, pop up dining trays in the back seat and deep pile carpet.
Exterior: This Mark IX has an extremely regal appearance with the classic Jaguar leaping cat hood ornament, extended hood, large front grille, and rounded top. It was available in a range of paint schemes, including two-tone options, and had a sunshine roof as a standard feature in the UK, which is present on this vehicle.
