Ebay item 11/16/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1964-Jaguar-Mark-II-Vicarage-Type-Performance-Upgrades-A ...
Current bid $10,099 reserve not met, 9 bids 9 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J64P223518BW.

Sellers description:
1964 Jaguar Mark II! (MK2)
This beautiful classic Jaguar has undergone a full rebuild, refurbishment & modernisation
much like the renowned Jaguar specialist at VICARAGE would put into they vehicles.

Here are some of the Improvements:
4.2 Litre E Type Engine with 2" Carburetors
E Type Front Spindles and Brake Calipers
E Type Rear Suspension and Brakes
Power assist XJ6 Rack and Pinion Steering
5 Speed Borg Warner Transmission
Updated Brake Servo
Modern Air Conditioning System (A/C)
XJ6 Leather Seats
Larger Wheels and Tires
Many more Cosmetic Upgrades and Improvements

Body & Paint:
The vehicle is painted in a metallic white color. Unsure when the body and paint work was done. The paint is in very good condition with a great shine. The only issue we seen was on the lower front fender where there are a few very small bubbles. The body panel alignment is very nice with the correct gaps.

Chrome & Trim:
All of the correct chrome and stainless steel trim pieces are on the vehicle. The chrome bumpers, grille, headlight bezels, hood ornament, door handles, and emblems are all very nice. The chrome taillight bezels and rear licence plate light are starting to show some minor peppering.

Interior:
This whole interior has been gone over and updated. It is in near perfect condition. The seats have been upgraded with XJ6 seats that are done in Shale colored leather. The door panels, headliner, dash, and carpet all look new. All of the interior wood trim was sent out and professional refinished. It looks amazing! The matching Jaguar wood steering wheel is just as nice as the rest of the wood trim. The instrument panel, dash area, and console is spotless. The modern Air Conditioning unit is fitted between the dash and console which looks stock.

Glass:
Unsure if all of the glass pieces are original to the vehicle. They are all in nice shape without any cracks, scratches, chips, or marks. The side windows roll up and down without any problems or issues.

Wheels & Tires:
The wheels have been upgraded to a 15" chrome true Wire Wheel with "Knock Off" spinners. (A spinner removing tool goes along with the vehicle.) Mounted on these wheels are four Toyo Extensa P205/70R15 tires that look new.

Chassis & Undercarriage:
Fitted under this classic is an updated E Type front spindles and brake calipers, E Type rear suspension and brakes and a XJ6 power assist rack and pinion steering setup. All of these upgrades make this MK2 a dream to drive. We do not know the whole 48 year history of this vehicle, but from looking at the solid/dry underside, we can tell it was well cared for and was kept out of any bad weather.
Nine times out of ten, people selling a car would not talk about or take any photos of the underside. The undercarriage tells you a lot about the car, that is why we took a few pictures of the bottom.

Engine Compartment:
Under this hood/bonnet the original 3.8 engine was swapped out for a better performing 4.2 litre power plant. (Not sure on the year of the engine.) Bolted to this 4.2 litre beast is a 5 speed manual Borg Warner transmission. Both are working great with no know problems A modern Air Condition unit was also fitted into this classic making it a true pleasure to drive.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
