Sellers description:
I’ve been hanging onto with hopes of putting it back on the road, but its not going to happen anytime soon. This is a 61 Jaguar MKII that is solid but in need of a restoration. I bought it from a collector who had several, and he had borrowed some parts from it over the years, but its mostly complete. It’s a 3.8 with 8:1 head and overdrive 4 speed. It was last driven in 1991 then parked. I got the car running after stripping and cleaning the carburetors but it will need exhaust and the fuel pump works intermittently, tanks will need cleaned out, etc. I removed the radiator to repair some rust/towing damage on the lower core support, and at the same time had the radiator cleaned and repainted. I didn’t get anything else done. I haven’t tried to drive it since the hydraulics need done but it made no noises, etc while running and idling.

The rear calipers have been removed and are in the trunk, console is included but its from an automatic and needs the hole cut for the shifter. Its missing the door wood trim, oil pressure gauge and a couple door panels. However there are templates for new panels included. Air cleaner, radiator, spare tire and some extra exhaust manifolds are in the trunk. The driver’s door glass is cracked but a spare is included. The frame is already loose for repair.Any trim you don't see in the pics is missing.

The floors have some small pinholes here and there, but the frame, trunk, etc are solid. All the rust I know of is pictured. Overall, this would make a great car if you’re willing to put the time into it, which I don’t have at the moment. I’d love to keep it but there are several other cars ahead of it…

The Jaguar is located in Dayton, Ohio

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
