Ebay item 9/21/18
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-MKII-3-8-MK2-3-8-LITER-SALOON/372436872036
Car has a buy it now price of $6,750 for 14 days, seller kurttannermotorcars, 33k miles.
Seller's description:
Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this extremely straight, solid, and fairly complete MK 2 Saloon in nice colors for restoration. This car was just purchased from it's owner from the last 10 years, who purchased the car after sitting for almost 30 years, since the late 1970's. The car needed some carburetor work which wasn't completed at that time, and unfortunately it has sat out in the California sun since then. The car's body and most of the chromework is extremely well-preserved, but the car's interior cosmetics and paintwork has suffered. Nevertheless, this interesting and collectible sports saloon has the original and desirable 3.8 Liter engine, is fitted with chrome wire wheels, and makes for a worthwhile project.
The body on this car is quite straight, save for a small dent on the RH front fender. The car's underside looks completely bone dry, solid, and 100% rustfree, even all around the 4 vulnerable jacking points.
The car's grille is in need of some straightening. The car is missing the front Jaguar hood mascot, the RH front passenger window, front and rear windscreen surrounds. The rest of the car's Triplex glass looks good.
The car's matching numbers original 3.8 liter engine doesn't currently turn, but may free up from some patient soaking of penetrant/mystery oil. It looks very original to the car, most likely having never been removed.
The car's interior appears all complete, but weather-shot, in need of a complete redo.
The car includes all of the loose items pictured, including an extra set of together carburetors, air cleaner assembly, rear bumper assembly, spare tire, original jack and wheel changing tools.
Overall, a very good project MK 2 3.8 with a superb dry body, needing no major repairs. This car is originally finished in an exciting color scheme with nice options. Very good value.
