Ebay item 4/21/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-Gorgeous-black-Jaguar-MK11-1962_W0QQitemZ30041938 ...
Opening bid $35,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I purchased this car in 2007 with 23000 miles on the clock. She had not been run since late 70's however she had been stored in a dry place and there was ZERO rust on her anywhere. I have spent the last two years having here rebuilt to my specification. I was not interested in a concourse car as I like to drive classics not show them. That being said she draws a crowd wherever she goes. In my opinion this is the best color combination for this car Black with blood red interior. The pictures tell the story. I would suggest to anyone thinking about buying her to come see her. However I know sometimes this is not possible especially when selling on eBay. She has been upgraded in lots of subtle ways so she can be used every day in modern traffic and driving conditions. Heavy duty anti roll bar, alternator kit, wiper kit plus surcharge, wiper delay relay, heavy duty engine mounts, rack and pinion PAS, Aluminium radiator, Kenlowe 16 fan, wilwood breaks, over sized chrome wire wheels with P4 Pirelli tires, light weight clutch and flywheel, upgraded starter motor, new heavy duty leaf springs, racing headers and stainless steel exhaust. Kenwood CD, navigation, ipod/phone and blue tooth. Complete new BAS interior. Bare metal repaint.New shocks and springs, twin Jaguar XJ6 horns. She does not have AC fitted however she is all set up for it with the alternator in place.Everything on this car has been removed, dismantled, serviced, repaired, restored, replaced and put back. That includes the engine and gearbox, drive shaft, rear axle and diff, fuel tank. She has a new loom. The list is endless. As you can see from the pictures the body was the best I have ever seen on a Jag this age.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
