Recently, the owner took this Jaguar to Britalia Import Car Service at 1121 East Elm in Fullerton, CA 92831 to repair a blown head gasket. Now that the head has been removed, it is also recommended that a valve job be performed. The lower half of the engine appears to be okay.

The owner states the the car ran great prior to the head gasket leaking however as you can see in the photos, there is substantial rust in the doors and other areas where water has collected over the years. The good news is, the floors and frame still appear solid.

The car has been put on eBay because the cost to have the mechanical and cosmetic issues professionally repaired exceeds the owner's current budget. His loss is your gain...

Alternatively, with a little mechanical know-how and a good set of tools, you could fix it yourself. All the parts are included. The rest of the body/paint work could be completed over time while driving and tinkering with this fun project.

Fortunately, there are no black boxes, injectors, electronics or fancy stuff that requires modern diagnostic equipment to fix or keep running.
Reupholstered, many years ago in vinyl, the driver's seat insert could use some work but the rest of the interior, including the the headliner, door panels and carpet are very presentable.

One of the great features on these older Jags is the genuine wood dashboard and trim. All the wood on this Mark II is still in great shape. And there is a spare wood dash included!

The trunk contains all the engine parts. Everything is accounted for. Although the radiator and cylinder head were removed, everything has been carefully inventoried and is ready for your TLC.

There is some evidence of a previous body repair in the front but the frame appears 100% straight.

Presently, we have a clear, California Title. Local sales tax and DMV transfer fees apply to residents in CA.

So here it is: a Southern California, black plate Mark II in very restorable condition; Almost impossible to match in the sum of its traits, this motorcar also possesses something only few others can lay claim to: a soul!
