Current bid $11,211 reserve not met, 7 bids, 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1961 Jaguar 3.8 Automatic MK2 four door. It is in very good condition for its age. I am selling this for a close friend of mine. I sold his Mercedes S550 on here a few months ago. This car was purchased from the original owner about 5 years ago out of a storage trailer where it had been sitting for many years. The old guy retired it after he drove it for ten years. That is basically all the history that I know on it. All the glass is good....the windshield, rear glass, and all four window glass' are in great shape. It was given a good repaint about 3 years ago, but some bubbles are showing up. I guess that is a few rust scabs, but it doesnt appear to be bad at all (notice the lower side view pictures). The car runs and drives great. The brakes were just serviced and the seem to work well, but driving it would be at your own risk. It starts right up and idles very smooth. It does have an aftermarket ignition, but the rest of the drive train is all original as far as I can tell. The original owner told us that it was the original equipment. He didnt seem like the kind of person that would lie. The engine and the engine bay look great. The whole underbody has been undercoated for protection. If I were buying it, I would give the interior some attention because the entire interior is all original except for the radio and two speakers. The leather is nice, but the wood is old and the carpet has stains. It has A/C, but it looks like a hang on unit.....it maybe original, but I dont know. Im used to GM "A" bodies. This car is a very rare vehicle that would make someone very happy. I was told that all the wheels were original and so were the bumpers. It is a disc brake car. I was also told that the entire drivetrain was original. I dont think anyone would be disappointed in this car. It is an ok driver like it is, but you will need a grille, a head light, and a driving light due to a brake failure late last year. The original grille is bent terribly bad, but it is included in the auction.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
