Car to be at auction 9/14
classiccars.brightwells.com/viewdetails.php

Auction description:
Lot number 71
Estimate £6,000 - £8,000
Description Daimler 250 V8
Registration RBO 783H
Year 1969
Colour Blue
Engine size 2,458 cc
Chassis No. P1K5223BW
Engine No. 7K5507

This 1969 250 V8 was purchased by the vendor back in 1983 and has been used sparingly over the years. It has had some restoration work done to the bodywork; however the outer panels remain original and sound. A new headlining and carpets have been added to its otherwise original interior and it has been fitted with a stainless steel exhaust.

Garaged for the last 30 years when not being driven, the vendor describes the engine and gearbox as in good working order, the car having a current MOT which expires in June 2015. Every bit as good as an equivalent Mk II Jaguar, if not better in some respects, these sweet running Daimlers look excellent value in the current market.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
