This 1968 420 right-hand drive saloon was purchased by the vendor seventeen years ago, when a major refurbishment included a full repaint, attention to engine, gearbox, axle, steering and suspension, with lamps, bumpers and chrome renewed, and interior and boot given a retrim.
Current condition of four-door shell, panels, silver paintwork and grey leather interior are rated as excellent. 4235cc capacity six, four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive and electrical equipment are reportedly also in excellent order.
Prior to the rebuild in November 1988 the mileage was 72,864, but when the restoration was concluded in May 1990, a new speedo with zero mileage reading was fitted. Since then, the mileage has only risen by a further 11,905, making the believed to be genuine total 84,769 miles. Freshly passed, the MOT certificate is therefore valid until next February and the latest tax disc to January. The history file is said to be excellent with original handbook, wheelbrace, jack and tool kit complete.
Having been a real joy to own and drive, the vendor tells us, LKV 252F also transported England cricket team captain Michael Vaughan to church for his wedding in September 2003."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
