Sellers description:
This 1967 420 in British Racing green with a cinnamon interior, wire wheels, four speed with overdrive, posi rear end, to me is one of most desireable small sedans there is. This is a rare car as most 420's were delivered from the factory as automatics. This particular car is in kilometers the mileage listed is actually in kilometers, not miles. I have a Jaguar Heritage certificate for it. There is a lot of history with the car. It was picked up new at the Brown's factory in Coventry, England and was registered with an English number plate the number being HVC 987E, which I still have. The owner then took the car to Rome, Italy. This is what the Heritage Certificate shows of the first owner. From the first owner, an American that worked for Boeing, bought it and used it for several years in Europe. He brought it back to Washington state, used it there for quite a few years, then took it back again to Europe. Used it some more in Europe and brought it back to the U.S. and then he retired from Boeing. I have owned this car for about 5-6 years. I re-built the engine, rear end, went through all the mechanics on the car, re-built the front end, re-built the steering column, re-built all the brakes, and re-placed the exhaust. All the wheels and tires are new. I re-chromed the front and rear bumpers including the over riders. It comes with a full tool kit and jack. Both fuel pumps are new. All the hoses are new as well as the brake lines. All the U joints, calipers and discs have all been re-placed. The speedometer and rev counter have been re-callibrated. The interior is the original and still has that nice smell to it that does not come with the new leather interiors. It still has the Italian radio as well as the Italian seat belts. It does have the factory seat belts in the rear. The car has always been British Racing Green with the cinnamon interior. The car has been painted at one time. It does have some nicks and chips on the paint, but it is very useable. As far as rust is concerned the sills, floors and dog legs are in real nice condition. I have put all new door gaskets on the car. The car is currently registered and insured and I use it at least once a week in the summer time. It is a real pleasure to drive. The car has the European headlights on it with high and low beams as well as the amber lights front and rear. The car needs nothing but a driver. I have a clear title in my name.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
