Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar 420 NOT G-type. This is a 4-door sedan with the XKE Engine and drive train. It is a 4-Speed manual with electric over drive. Car was originally purchased in Germany and shipped to the US by the military. Was driven in Germany for 2 years before being shipped. The front end has been removed and all bushings were replaced along with new brake pads all the way around. All 6 shocks have also been replaced. Car was painted a burgandy color in Germany but later found out that original color was gold. In 78-79 had body work done to replace rocker panels and trunk boot with new metal and restore original paint color. Work was not done correctly and paint started to peal and chip. In 1986 repainted to white and registered. Driven approx. 30 miles then placed on blocks. Been there ever since. Tires were new then and removed and placed inside car. Engine was last run in 1987. The starter appears to need to be cleaned as engine is free but starter will not engage. Unknown mileage on engine but assume same as body. Missing couple of pieces of chrome, all gauges and switches present. Even the battery operated clock as this is a POSITIVE ground system. Have dyno test results from Germany but they may not represent current condition. Interior is rough as this car has been sitting in the West Texas sun for a few years. Wood is all there as well as all glass intact.
