Sellers description:
This 1967 420 is a fully matching number car and it has the rare 4 speed manual transmission with the electronic overdrive. Most of these cars came through as an automatic. The first owner picked the car up at the Browns Lane factory in England and drove it to Madrid, Spain. The car came through with British number plates, which are HVC 871L. If this car goes back overseas there will be no duty on it as it was intended for the home market. The car is in kilometers so the mileage listed is in kilometers, not miles. I have a Jaguar Heritage certificate as shown in the photos.

The previous owner had spent $16,000 on the car. He had a new paint job done and had a new exhaust installed from head to toe. The car has new carpets, new headliner and misc. interior pieces. The owner had the rear end dropped and had new brakes installed in both the front and the rear. The car has been sitting in a garage for 3 1/2 years. The fuel has gone bad. The fuel pumps will need to be replaced as they are clogged up from the bad gas. At this writing the car does not run, but the engine turns freely. The car will start up with gas fed to the engine, by-passing the fuel pumps. All the fluids need to be changed as well as the filters. The brakes will need going through as the car has been sitting so long.

Sellers description:
Our 1967 420 is running well and has a little over 62,000
kilometers on the odometer (39,000 miles). We were told by the previous owner that the car came to the US via Spain and that is why the speedometer is metric.

The car has a manual transmission with electric overdrive which is very rare.
The tires are Coker Classics with a red stripe.

The engine was recently completely gone over and the fuel tank and fuel pump were replaced.

The car looks great from ten feet but here is what is required to take it to the next level:

The interior is showing its age, the dash is cracked and the seats/door panels are torn/faded

The wood trim is complete but needs refinishing

The paint is bubbling by the headlamps, turn signals and door bottoms

There is a hole in the fender where the antenna is not mounted.

There is a small door ding on the passenger side

The radio is not period correct

There is rust on the underbody but no rust through or perforations

This car has not been driven in two years with the exception of repositioning on our lot. We do not recommend driving the vehicle prior to performing a full mechanical inspection.
