Car returns to ebay 9/19/14

Car has a buy it now price of $8,900 for 20 days. Car now said to be in Plymouth, Michigan. 80k miles.

Sellers description:
Jaguar 420 Saloon, Late 1967 production. A very nice, all original car. Good green state of Michigan title. This car was pampered and had heated storage in winters. It is not rusty underneath at all. Floors and jacking points all good. LF jack tube looks to have been crushed by a lift sometime in the past. 5 Chrome wire wheels all in good shape. Glass all good. Has original 4.2L engine and automatic transmission. Runs and drives. Odometer shows 80,000 miles. Car had been in heated dry storage and was last registered in 1994. Leather seats have cracks and signs of wear, but the rest of the interior is clean and in fair to good condition. Has AC, not working and not converted to R134a yet. Body has a couple of minor dings from being in the garage, but the body is otherwise solid and the paint very good considering age, looks like one repaint in the original color. Car starts, runs, drives and stops. Brakes have had master and servo hydraulic cylinder seals replaced, pedal is firm but requires a lot of force to stop. Carbs could use tuning and resync. Just took it on a trip 100 miles each way. This could be considered a driver, or an excellent candidate for restoration.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
