Ebay item 4/24/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Jaguar-420-saloon-/190669996738
Current bid $1,500.09, no reserve, 5 bids 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This is a two-owner California black plate car. It was parked last month with a cracked head and leaking front seal.
I've owned the car for 22 years, the last 10 of which it was a daily driver. During the course of this ownership, just about every reliability issue was dealt with. The cooling system was improved with a larger radiator and flex fan. The alternator was upgraded from 45 amps to 135. In the past year it's had a new fuel pump and water pump. Virtually everything on the car works, except the radio and if you're reading this you probably don't care.
The interior is in very nice condition with no cracks, rips or tears in the upholstery. The wood trim likewise is very good with just slight weathering on the left side of the dash. Exterior and interior chrome ranges from OK to very good and there are no missing pieces. Although the paint is bad (see pictures), this is still an impressive looking car which elicits smiles and thumbs up from young and old alike. It is a very good candidate for an engine swap or as a donor car for many of the 1960's Jaguar sports saloons.
The car is located in the San Francisco Bay area. It comes with a logbook covering 22 years of notes and receipts, a grease-stained shop manual, a parts CD, three extra 15" wire wheels and the original window sticker from Holiday Motors in Van Nuys. It can be driven on and off a trailer.
